How is WebP constructed?
WebP images use a technique known as the compression algorithms. There are two main
compression algorithms as Lossy and Lossless image conversion. Usually lossy compression
provides an irreversible conversion of images.
But in the WebP technique both lossy and lossless compression images are completely
reversible to its original state by proper decoding tools.
Lossy compression is used in converting JPG images to webP and the size is reduced by around
24 – 34 % by the original size while the quality remains almost same. In lossless technique, PNG
images are converted to WebP. Here the size I reduced almost by 26% from the original size.
